Welcome

Welcome to my website. If you have clicked here it indicates a curiosity and willingness to commit to the process of self-exploration and personal transformation. I offer people the opportunity to work in a climate of safety and guidance necessary to do deep inner and outer work to transform their lives and those around them.

My approach is to deal with the whole person, not just their symptoms, conflicts, and problems. Together we work to examine the possible connections between your unconscious style of living and its impact on your relationships, occupational pursuits, and place in the community. I will draw on psychodynamic, experiential, and behavioral therapies to design a personalized psychotherapy that meets your chosen goals. While none of us can have unlimited success and happiness: You can learn to feel better about yourself, other people, your past and your future. You can learn to have more enjoyable and satisfying relationships. You can learn to be more effective in your work and career. You can learn to feel that you are a significant member of the human community with worth and uniqueness equal to others. Our work together could inspire you to move in the direction of your freest, deepest, most authentic self.

It is helpful to distinguish between positive and negative striving. Positive striving would be in the direction of overcoming difficulties, gradual self-improvement, and improving a situation for mutual benefit.

Our lives are to be used and thus to be lived as fully as possible, and truly it seems that we are never so alive as when we concern ourselves with other people.
